Florida Technical College strives to provide its students the training and education needed to secure entry-level positions in many different career fields. An individual-focused environment is achieved through personal guidance, attention, and career services, as well as smaller class sizes to facilitate more hands-on experience and computer and laboratory access.

Generally, one class is taken each month in a unique "focused learning" environment, and day and evening courses are offered to provide as much flexibility to students as possible. Location: Florida Technical College's DeLand campus is located at 1199 South Woodland Boulevard in DeLand, minutes to Daytona Beach, Orange City, Deltona, and DeBary. Florida Technical College also has locations in Orlando, Jacksonville, and Auburndale. Admissions: Florida Technical College makes available admissions representatives to assist applicants in finding a program and working with procedures, deadlines, and requirements. Applicants must be high school graduates or have received a GED. An interview is required, as is the Wonderlic Scholastic Level Exam. Financial aid: Students interested in receiving financial aid should complete the FAFSA, available online and from the financial aid department. Loans, grants, and scholarships are available to qualifying students. Financial aid representatives are available to answer questions about applying for assistance. Career Assistance: Career services are provided to students right from admission. Placement services include career planning, job applications, resume and cover letter preparation, portfolios, schedules, and interview dress and technique. Career placement assistance is available to students even after graduation from Florida Technical College.
